A professional photographer based in Jakarta, Eky Tandyo has been a member of APPI since 1993. At first, his love for art drew him to graphic design, a subject of study he pursued in Trisakti University, Jakarta (1983-1986). It was not until a visit to an inspiring photo exhibition did he find a passion for photography. The art enthusiast then studied photography in KvB College in Sydney, Australia (1987-1988). These new steps took him to the world he wanted to be in; the world of photography, high imagination, strong intuition and superb understanding of each project’s purpose make him one of the best persons available to create the most compelling and believable images possible.
As a photographer, he has produced a lot of commercial photography/conceptual images for business and advertising. And renowned his photo style, he recreate himself and his style continually.
Feel that photography is a service business, providing images that are created to do a specific job. The image has to work; it has to do the job the client needs done, on time and on budget. “That’s what he do, every time”
Currently he also works as a photography tutor at Darwis Triadi School of Photography.
While as an expression for his personal work/fine art, he prefers the media of Black and White.
With Digital Camera, The EQ Photography studio can now execute highly sophisticated photo to suit very specific conceptual needs. The specialize photo he did, most for book publisher, company profile, and corporate.
